What loads, and when
Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra load by default on the first page view, before you touch the banner. This includes their vendor scripts and requests they initiate. Reject stops the GA4, Clarity and Adsterra loaders on later page views, so no further request reaches their hosts; a request already sent cannot be recalled. The inline Consent Mode defaults stay in the page but create no network request, and the tag is disabled before it can send analytics. The choice is remembered for 180 days. Video cards use local game stills; YouTube loads only when you press Play video, because the player is a click-to-load facade. The banner is a notice with Accept and Reject buttons, not a gate. You can reopen it with Cookie settings in the footer.
If Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track (DNT) is switched on in your browser, the site treats that as Reject on the first visit, writes the refusal, and does not show the banner.

GA4 and Clarity also keep server-side identifiers that are not readable in your browser. Adsterra sets its own frequency-capping and impression cookies on its delivery host; their names are chosen by the vendor and can change, so they are not pinned to a list here. Our banner code writes only the two site-specific localStorage keys above; analytics and ad vendors may write the vendor identifiers listed here.
Why we use them
Analytics tells us which guides are read and which fixes fail, so we can correct them. Clarity shows where a page is hard to use without recording form input. Adsterra pays for the hosting. YouTube only appears when you ask for a video. We do not sell personal data and we do not build profiles for use outside this site.
Legal basis
On a first visit, the current site behavior loads GA4, Clarity and Adsterra before a visitor chooses Accept or Reject; an absent preference is treated as granted for loading purposes, but is not stored as an affirmative choice. Reject stops the GA4, Clarity and Adsterra loaders on later page views. Because a request already sent cannot be recalled, this implementation may not satisfy laws that require prior opt-in before non-essential vendors load. The site operator should obtain jurisdiction-specific legal review. For security and delivery of static pages, processing is based on legitimate interest in keeping the site online and free of abuse.
Personalised advertising and opting out
Adsterra may personalise ads using cookie and device signals. You can turn personalised advertising off at the vendor and industry level: Adsterra privacy policy, Google Ad Settings, Microsoft privacy dashboard, YourAdChoices, and the NAI opt-out page. Reject on this site stops Adsterra from loading on later page views, which also stops its personalised ads on this site from then on.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or ask for portability. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. We answer requests within 30 days. Mail you send us is kept only as long as needed to answer it.
Changes to this policy
When a third party or a storage key changes, this page and its updated date change with it. The current version is dated 2026-10-23. The banner and this policy describe Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra as default-loaded services, plus YouTube only after you press Play video.
