However, Marnus Labuschagne, who came in as a concussion substitute for injured Cameron Green, emerged as the hero of the day, scoring a brilliant 80 runs off 93 balls, steering his team to victory. All-rounder Ashton Agar played a crucial supporting role with 48 runs, and Travis Head contributed with a brisk 33.
The South African bowlers gave a spirited effort, with Kagiso Rabada and Gerald Coetzee taking two wickets each. However, it was not enough to stop Australia from achieving the target.
