Team India and Sri Lanka are all set to continue their Asia Cup 2023 campaign by facing off against each other in the Super Four stage of the tournament on Tuesday, September 12 at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.

However, there is no doubt that the rain gods have been disrupting the grounds in Sri Lanka like no other, and with both sides all set to take on each other in Colombo, rain is once again likely to play spoilsport.

As per a report by Accuweather, the probability of rain stands at 84 percent in the afternoon on September 12, with a 34 percent chance of a thunderstorm at the time when the match begins.

In some good news, the forecast does lighten up as the day progresses, with a 55 percent chance of rain, which could mean the game could commence.

Sri Lanka, India look to register second Super Four win

After India’s sensational victory against Pakistan, the side will gear up for their upcoming game against Sri Lanka. It is worth noting that both India and Sri Lanka got off to good starts in their Super Four matches. Sri Lanka will come on the back of a win against Bangladesh, whereas India will come on the back of a fresh win against Pakistan.

Both sides have won one match in the Super Four and with two points each, India and Sri Lanka sit in first and second place in the standings. As the match approaches, it could be interesting to see which side comes out on top in Colombo on September 12.

The fans would hope that rain does not play spoilport and the match is not a washout. However, seeing the forecast, such an outcome is likely.
