India and Pakistan matches are big-ticket encounters in recent times as both sides have not played any bilateral matches since 2012-13. The two teams only play each other in ICC and ACC events and hence whenever the two sides clash, it is a festival-like atmosphere.

One of the tournaments in which India and Pakistan have clashed is the Asia Cup and there have been many encounters between the two sides, that have gone right down to the wire, with India and Pakistan both pulling off amazing victories against one another.

However, there have been some matches in which either side has dominated and won the games one-sided and today, we are going to check out five such India v Pakistan matches in which either the Men in Blue or the Men in Green came out victors in a one-sided fashion in the Asia Cup.

The 1995 edition of the Asia Cup was played in Sharjah and saw the two teams collide on April 7. Pakistan had opted to bat first after winning the toss, and thanks to a brilliant knock of 88 from Inzamam Ul Haq, managed to put 266/9 in 50 overs.

Apart from Inzamam, Aamer Sohail made 40, while Wasim Akram made a quick 50 to boost the total close, which was a good one in those days. For India, Anil Kumble and Utpal Chatterjee picked two wickets each.

In response, the Pakistan bowlers, especially Aaqib Javed, rocked the Indian top order badly. He removed openers Manoj Prabhakar (0), Sachin Tendulkar (4) and then Mohammad Azharuddin (11) and Vinod Kambli (0) to break India’s back.

Despite half-centuries from Navjot Sidhu and Sanjay Manjrekar, India could only muster 169 runs in 42.4 overs and lost the game by 97 runs. Aaqib Javed won the Player of the Match for his 5/19.
