Dhoni- The Untold Story’ to star Indian athlete Milkha Singh‘s ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, sports biopics have always made a special place in the audience’s heart. Amid all the buzz, a biopic for which the sports fanatic is eagerly waiting is the one of Sourav Ganguly.
According to various reports, producer Ankur Garg and director Luv Ranjan have big plans to launch up Sourav’s biopic. Sources, as reported by India Today, have said that the two met with Sourav at his Behala house on Friday to discuss the film. It has also been said that the director has recorded various incidents of Sourav’s life.

Ayushmann Khurana to replace Ranbir Kapoor for lead role
Several names are constantly floating for the lead role in the film, but there is no official announcement regarding the film’s cast. At first, Ranbir Kapoor‘s name was in the limelight for the lead character role, but now various reports suggest that Ayushmann Khurrana might step into the place of Ranbir to play the main character.
However, there has been no confirmation from Ayushmann’s side as well as he is recently busy promoting his new movie ‘Dream Girl 2’, which is running riot at the box office. Despite that, the actor dropped a big hint about Ganguly’s biopic during the promotion of his recent movie.
In an exclusive shared by Pinkvilla, Ayushmann was quoted saying,“I’m not saying anything right now. We have to make an official announcement whenever and whatever happens.”
