Courtesy of a sensational half-century against Nepal in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023, Shubman Gill has improved his ODI ranking and has moved to number three, just behind Babar Azam and Rassie van der Dussen. The Pakistan skipper, meanwhile, hit a cracking century against Nepal earlier in the tournament and, hence, has cemented his position at number one. Dussen, on the other hand, has 750 points to his name at the moment.

Virat Kohli is the only Indian cricketer apart from Gill to feature in the top ten. The former Indian skipper is at number ten and will aim to improve during the ODI World Cup, slated to begin on October 5. Ishan Kishan, meanwhile, has made significant progress as well. The stumper-batter hit four back-to-back half-centuries, and courtesy of the same, he is currently 24th on the list.

When it comes to bowlers, the trio of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah have been tremendous in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. Shaheen, who has been the poster boy of Pakistan’s pace unit for quite some time, is fifth on the list. Rauf, meanwhile, has improved 14 spots and is 29th on the list currently. He has picked up four wickets against Bangladesh in the first Super Four match of the continental cup, and hence, his ranking is expected to improve.

Markram, Mitch Marsh, and Glenn Phillips gain in T20I ranking

Meanwhile, Mitchell Marsh, who was adjudged Player of the Series against the Proteas, improved his ranking on a massive scale. He jumped 14 spots and is currently 11th on the table. The New Zealand duo of Glenn Phillips and Finn Allen have improved as well, as they are at number 14 and 22, respectively.
